I just got mine back from the repair center LAST NIGHT and I was disappointed to see that I had not gotten a new one with a HDMI port, like my friend had. But you can imagine I was more disappointed this morning when I saw that it had the RROD. One day??!!?? That is ridiculous. Especially since it took me a month to get the repair done. I am going to try and bring it back to costco today. Hopefully they will exchange it.
Good News they took it back no questions asked, th...
Why don't you just read a book, if storyline is the reason you play RPGs? You may find that books actually have the best storylines out there
I respectfully disagree, crysis is way beyond uncharted in terms of graphics. Take a closer look and really see.
I will buy the system for $399, it may be worth more, but without games it is hard to back up such a position, however if you are in the marked for a blu ray player then that is just added value.
I have played them all except FFXII and HL2 however I will get the orange box later this year. All of the games on the list where great experiences not to be forgotten, but I guess I didn't play Halo right when it came out but several years later so maybe that is why it didn't hit me as hard as the others, or maybe because I was older.
I remember seeing the e3 footage from 2 years ago and being super pumped about the "next-gen" then it came and I was under impressed. If this proves to be true, which I doubt at the moment, I mean I just can't see such a huge leap in graphics over not only everything shown so far, but everything in development (except crysis), then I will have to try and convince my wife to buy a PS3, because then i will have seen that all the potential that sony says is there, may actually be ta...
what they should do is let me return my 20 gig HD and charge me 60 dollars or so for the 120, because nearly 200 is a major rip off.
That bungie wouldn't come out and make such statements. They just make good games and let that do the talking. So why would anyone need to say that bungie is so stupid? Your argument makes little sense to me.
..when you say that a drop in price will be seen by consumers as an indication of an inferior product, and then you use the Wii as an example. Problem is that the Wii is killing the PS3 in sales like 4 to 1. truth is people will buy the cheaper system in most cases, especially when the benefit of the more expensive one is hard to see.
...will be the earliest that I buy this system. By then it should have plenty of games to choose from.
Especially the buildings. there are some screens with horrible textures, maybe to be replaced later on. But honestly, I was all excited about #2 and it came out and I played it and finished it and afterwards thought, "are you kidding? that was it?" the gameplay was super weak for me and so I am not really excited about this game. Hope I'm wrong. And I agree with MART it is likely that this will come out on 360, i can't see any good reason why not.
Especially when you ask the question, if Sony "doesn't want to tip it's hand" now, why the heck not? they need some good publicity and more reasons for gamers to buy the system. A Killzone even anywhere near close to the target render would really give them the boost. Right now is a very important time to overcome the idea that the pS3 is just on par or less powerful than the 360. And sitting on footage like this would be idiotic.
...did the 360, "Xbox" the PS3? Wrap your head around the similarities there and then decide which is really more likely.
because then I can get the PS3 in 2 years when it is cheaper and has the best games. For now, no thanks.
Who called resistance a killer ap? Because it doesn't seem to be. Granted it seems better than any 360 launch game but it better be, bcause it is nov. 2006 not 2005. A killer ap is a game that people remember years to come. From the lukewarm reviews and comments that I am hearing this game will be forgotten rather quikly. It is all just marketing hype telling us that this game is something special. Maybe it is but with an average review of below 9 I don't think so.
I suppose these are the types that will buy Madden and whatever crappy sports game they just happen to see in the store that day.
are like me and really don't care if a game supports 40 playes at the same time? to me this takes away any strategy or thinking. You don't need to find the enemy, flank, outhink them. All you need to do is run into an area and shoot for about 10 seconds and kill as many moving thigs as you can until you are killed. 4 on 4 is great 8 on 8 is probably optimal in my opinion. Any more and it loses something, it just becomes a fragfest. If that is your cup of tea the resistance looks like it...
What is pathetic is people like you that won't buy a great console simply because of who makes it. I am sure that PS3 will be a great console. As is the X360. Just because one outsells the other doesn't mean one is better than the other. Case in point is the PS2 Xbox generation. The Xbox was obviously the better system and I have little doubt that the Gamecube was quite a it more powerful than the PS2. All the PS2 had going for it was a large library of mostly lame games and a few gems....
I think the swearing could esily be left out. Or an option to bleep the words. I don't like hearing it.
I don't know if you have ever even been in a room with some friends playing splitscreen. Probably too young since it is sooo dated. But let me tell you it is the most fun experience in my opinion playing with people in the same room as you. Especially in a game like halo 3 where after you get tired playing with just the four of you, you can go online and play with your party and others. To say splitscreen is dated is to end the most fun and actually "social" aspect of gaming. I...
